It is Wednesday, midway through the week already. Can you believe it? Time flies by so quickly. Well, I don't know what you've got going on this week. It may be good or bad. However, Here's a neat site to take your mind off it for a while and work out some of those frustrations you might be having. Learn how to tie some knots. Handy to know!

Monday Money
Today is Monday and the business of the week commences. I am afraid Wall Street's wild gyrations will never calm down in spite of the economic packages being used world wide. There's just a lot of foolishness out there right now and a fortunate few are cashing in on all of it. Nevertheless, the rest of us have some money and we need to manage as best we can. Here is a site to help with that. Enjoy!

Are you living as Christ would in your shoes? Visit the Global Recordings Network. And, be sure you touch someone in your life today.

The Spoken Word
This is an interesting site. For all of you interested in spreading the Word of God worldwide, I encourage you to visit and check out their organization. Also Click the Jesus Film Project Logo close to the bottom of the blog. These organizations reach out across the globe in many formats to spread the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I pray their success will be great and their harvest rich and full.

Magnificent Creation!
Ever have a "bad day?" Today is Monday and in America, that is everyone's "standard" bad day. Everyone blames anything annoying on the day. Though this is completely ineffective, we all still do it. :-)
However, I want to remind myself and all of us of the Master we serve. He spun this earth with a spoken Word and flung the galaxies into existence by the mention of their names. He then fashioned humanity as His personal masterpiece. His very action of personal creation gives all of us incredible worth and value. He only took moments to speak so much of His magnificent creation into existence but then He stooped to earth with His own hands to individually form a likeness of Himself and breathe into that creation His very own breath giving it life eternal.
To each of us He has perpetuated that breath of life. To us He has given us the gift of living. It makes me thrill at the joy of it all. Even in its moments of chaos and agony, this living is rich in every facet, texture, and moment.
Today I Have posted one image from the Hubble space telescope. It is one of many brilliant images you may peruse and enjoy if you click on it. As you enjoy these images, don't just glance at them. Take time to consider them and remember they are part of the magnificent creation of our Lord. And, on this Monday, may they be a reminder to us that whether the day is good or bad, we are in the hands of This Creator.

Back to the Bible
Spending time in the Word is something of which we all need more. We are attacked on every side in this present world by forces of darkness. I do not necessarily mean weird satanic demonic things (though to some no doubt that happens), but I do mean that pressure comes from sources all around that do not fit in the category of "Light." For we know that God "is light and in Him is no darkness at all." (1 John 1:5)
For you this might be pressures of work, or responsibility. It could be pressures of financial concern, worry, or faithlessness. It could be the forces of sin or unbelief. It could be the pressures of society and peers. It could be the pressure of conformity whether in the world or in a church. All these pressures push upon us in an attempt to crush us or at very least to push us away from the cross. The only hope of resisting the push and pull of the world is to be inundated by the Word of God and saturated with His personal presence.
I challenge all of us to do whatever necessary to get into the Word more deeply and be encouraged deeper into His presence. Here is a link to help you do that a little more. As usual, I may not necessarily agree with every iota of the content here, but it is a link the will help you toward the goal of greater understanding of the Word. Have a blessed week!

God's View
Ever wonder what the world looks like from God's point of view? I have many times, particularly when flying. It isn't long after one leaves the ground that everything disappears. It's quite amazing that all we consider great here on earth fades so quickly from sight. If you click on the picture above, it will take you to a site where you can see several picture's from the "God's-Eye-View."
However, as beautiful and wonderful as many of these pictures are, I want to think about one other thing for a moment. So often we readily accept that this is indeed God's perspective. We think that surely God is high and lifted up and above all things. While this is true, we tend to forget it is not entirely so. While God is above all and over all, He is closer still.
His Son Jesus Christ took on human flesh and joined us here on earth to see things from our point of view. When Christ ascended to the Father, He sent His Holy Spirit as a comforter to dwell among us and even in us. Thus I would like to remind us that God's point of view is not only high and lifted up, but is also "down-to-earth" as He walks beside us and dwells within us giving us power to live lives high and lifted up amid this present world.
So today, step back and look up remembering His High holiness. Stand still and look around to see His view in this present world. And look inside your heart to meet His gaze in all its purity and love. Only then will you see life and this world from God's perspective.

Musical Ear
As a musician, hearing is one of my most treasured senses. Often we take our senses for granted but we shouldn't. Particularly in music where we have the opportunity to know such exquisite beauty, hearing is most important. However, except for rare gifted individuals, the rest of us have to regularly train those ears to hear correct keys and to aide in refining tonal quality. Here is a great site to help with all that: http://www.earpower.com/ . Enjoy!

Dual Images
Things are never what they seem. I was born and raised in Missouri, and I am a true "Show-me-stater." It is always difficult for me to believe or trust anything I cannot see with my own two eyes: these two right here that God gave me! Even trusting God is hard sometimes because so often we allow that view to become clouded.
However, as this picture (and many others on the website) demonstrates, there is often more than initially meets the eye. How far are we looking past the surface or first impressions of those around us? Are we taking the time to truly look beyond our circumstances or theirs and understand the true dimensions of life being encountered? I hope so. I want this picture to be a reminder to us all to look beyond just the surface, beyond the circumstance, beyond the impression to what is truly there...and live accordingly. Have a great day!

Earthshaking!
Hello All!
I trust you had an enjoyable weekend. I didn't! :-) I had Guard Duty this weekend, papers due, and even a urinalysis again which is never fun! (If you don't know what that is...it is a completely random drug test administered by the military - I hate them!) Though they are randomly generated, I have been hit seven or eight times in the last year. It is getting really old. Oh well. That is the nature of the beast I guess. I hope your weekend was more peaceful and not earthshaking.
Speaking of "earthshaking," here is a site that monitors all the earthquakes around the world all the time. Bet you didn't know there were so many so often! Check it out and have a peaceful week!

For all those of you out there who have been studying the Word of God or regularly share it with others, here is a site for you: http://www.studylight.org/ While I won't guarantee everything you will find here to be absolutely what I would agree with necessarily, it is a great little resource to tap. So I trust you will find it useful and a blessing.

Saving!
Since we are on the subject of money, here's a great little site that gives tips on how to save money in every day situations. They even have a neat little calculator that helps you calculate how much you will save if you put "X" amount of money away per day. (Did you know you will have over $24,000 if you save a dollar a day at 5% interest over 30 years?) Check it out!

Money Myths
With all the worries about the economy right now, people are more concerned than ever about their money and what is going to happen. First, let me remind all of us that money is just so much trash and we can't take it with us when we go. As long as we don't forget that, then we can maintain the proper perspective. Second, that being said, this world runs on money and we need it to live and to spread the Gospel. So it behooves us as Christians to be careful and wise with the blessings God gives us. We don't want to be throwing money away. With that in mind, check out this article for a different perspective on some top money myths. Have a great day!
