Back to the Bible

Spending time in the Word is something of which we all need more. We are attacked on every side in this present world by forces of darkness. I do not necessarily mean weird satanic demonic things (though to some no doubt that happens), but I do mean that pressure comes from sources all around that do not fit in the category of "Light." For we know that God "is light and in Him is no darkness at all." (1 John 1:5)

For you this might be pressures of work, or responsibility. It could be pressures of financial concern, worry, or faithlessness. It could be the forces of sin or unbelief. It could be the pressures of society and peers. It could be the pressure of conformity whether in the world or in a church. All these pressures push upon us in an attempt to crush us or at very least to push us away from the cross. The only hope of resisting the push and pull of the world is to be inundated by the Word of God and saturated with His personal presence.

I challenge all of us to do whatever necessary to get into the Word more deeply and be encouraged deeper into His presence. Here is a link to help you do that a little more. As usual, I may not necessarily agree with every iota of the content here, but it is a link the will help you toward the goal of greater understanding of the Word. Have a blessed week!
