God's View

Ever wonder what the world looks like from God's point of view? I have many times, particularly when flying. It isn't long after one leaves the ground that everything disappears. It's quite amazing that all we consider great here on earth fades so quickly from sight. If you click on the picture above, it will take you to a site where you can see several picture's from the "God's-Eye-View."

However, as beautiful and wonderful as many of these pictures are, I want to think about one other thing for a moment. So often we readily accept that this is indeed God's perspective. We think that surely God is high and lifted up and above all things. While this is true, we tend to forget it is not entirely so. While God is above all and over all, He is closer still.

His Son Jesus Christ took on human flesh and joined us here on earth to see things from our point of view. When Christ ascended to the Father, He sent His Holy Spirit as a comforter to dwell among us and even in us. Thus I would like to remind us that God's point of view is not only high and lifted up, but is also "down-to-earth" as He walks beside us and dwells within us giving us power to live lives high and lifted up amid this present world.

So today, step back and look up remembering His High holiness. Stand still and look around to see His view in this present world. And look inside your heart to meet His gaze in all its purity and love. Only then will you see life and this world from God's perspective.

Have a great week!
